OneWay Boost Your Immune System by Eating Red Grapes
A new study says that eating red grapes and blueberries can boost the immune system.
The study conducted by experts rather than Oregon State University who analyzed 446 compounds in the fruit. But they only found two types that have properties boost the immune system.
Is resveratrol is found in red wine and pterostilbene found in blueberries that are believed to protect the body from various diseases.
As reported by the Huffington Post, the two compounds can boost the immune system because it works with vitamin D to support CAMP genes that play a role in the immune system.
Unfortunately, the new study conducted laboratory experiments on mice. But researchers believe that humans who consume red wine and blueberries will also get similar benefits.
Resveratrol itself has been proven several times in maintaining cardiovascular health and insulin sensitivity (lower risk of type 2 diabetes).
The results then reported in the journal Molecular Nutrition and Food Research.
